Safety Training

The Industrial Hygiene group provides a variety of OSHA and EPA training in lecture, video, and eLearning formats.  Staff also works with departments to develop training specific to their needs.  Below are listed video and eLearning programs that can be viewed from the links provided, followed by traditional classroom and hands-on training found in the Training Catalog or by request, as needed.

Asbestos Awareness Training (AAT) ST6131 Don Fulton
This is an OSHA-required class for all City employees who work around installed asbestos-containing materials.  Course objectives include: 29 CFR 1910.1001 OSHA Regulation for Asbestos, history and uses of asbestos in building materials, location of asbestos-containing materials in buildings, potential health hazards, and best work practices.
