Safety Training
The Industrial Hygiene group provides a variety of OSHA and EPA training in lecture, video, and eLearning formats. Staff also works with departments to develop training specific to their needs. This is an OSHA-required class for all City employees who work around installed asbestos-containing materials. Course objectives include: 29 CFR 1910.1001 OSHA Regulation for Asbestos, history and uses of asbestos in building materials, location of asbestos-containing materials in buildings, potential health hazards, and best work practices. |
